RBC Capital Markets

DX is a proprietary RBC Capital Markets web-based trade execution platform. Functioning as UX lead, with an in-house technology team I worked to modernize this application’s front-end user interface (UI). The application UI was developed on a React JS framework using Google Material Design language to create a visually cohesive user experience across multiple platforms and devices.  The outcome is an RBC-branded interface that incorporates UI patterns to enhance functionality and meet accessibility requirements. This redesign enabled RBC to effectively handle the substantial data inherent in online trading interfaces by incorporating responsive grids, context menus, and various other UI elements. The improved UI also increased the usability required to boost customer confidence in real-time trading across FX, bond, money market, and deposit transactions.
